Meet Christi Fuentes
(she/her/hers), LICSW
Hi! My name is Christi Fuentes, LICSW, and I look forward to getting to know you. My primary focus is working with children, teens, and families experiencing symptoms related to anxiety disorders, with a special emphasis on OCD and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). I strive to create a safe, affirming space where people can exist authentically and without judgment.

I am a neurodivergent-affirming, LGBTQIA+ positive, compassionate, and client-centered clinician. This means I support clients for who they are while helping them work toward fuller, richer lives aligned with their values. I warmly welcome clients who are part of the Deaf community. I am fluent in ASL and worked as a certified ASL interpreter before becoming a clinical social worker, which allows me to provide accessible and culturally responsive care.
As a therapist, my goal is to help children and teens find joy, confidence, and self-acceptance. There is no one “right way” to be human. Recognizing strengths, understanding challenges, and building meaningful coping skills are foundational to my practice. I work collaboratively with clients to identify their values and strengths while introducing tools that improve emotional well-being and daily functioning.

My clinical approach draws from several evidence-based modalities, including ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), Play Therapy techniques, and Creative Arts Therapies. I love working with youth and have a special interest in anxiety disorders, particularly OCD. Finding a therapist who truly understands pediatric OCD can be difficult, and OCD is often misunderstood, leaving children and families feeling isolated. I provide a safe, supportive, and often playful space for children and teens to face fears, reduce compulsions, and reclaim their lives. Incorporating parents into the healing process is an important part of my work, especially when providing ERP.

In addition to therapy, I provide ERP consultation, training, and clinical support for mental health professionals who want to strengthen their skills in treating OCD and anxiety disorders. I offer individual consultation, small-group consultation, and professional trainings focused on practical, ethical, and effective ERP implementation. I especially enjoy helping clinicians build confidence in working with OCD cases and expanding access to quality ERP care in the community.

I am also an approved National Association of Social Workers clinical instructor and value supporting newer clinicians as they grow in both competence and confidence. Whether I am working with clients or consulting with therapists, my goal is the same: helping people feel empowered, supported, and capable of meaningful change.
