About

_DSC7357_edited.jpg

Hi! My name is Christi Burton and l look forward to getting to know you! My primary focus is working with children and teens experiencing symptoms of anxiety and OCD. I warmly welcome clients that are part of the Deaf and/or LGBTQIA+ community. I am fluent in ASL and as a queer therapist myself, I strive to create a safe and affirming space where people can exist authentically, without judgment.

As a therapist, my goal is to help children and teens find joy! I do this by working with kiddos to discover their strengths, while introducing coping skills to help them improve their overall well-being. I borrow from many different theory bases, including Play Therapy, Creative Arts Therapies, Exposure Response Prevention and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

I love working with youth and have a special interest in anxiety disorders. Finding a therapist who specializes OCD in children can be difficult. OCD is sadly misunderstood by society, which can leave clients and their families feeling isolated. I provide a safe and fun space for children and teens to learn skills, stand up to their fears, and find joy.
